What’s Assassins Creed Valhalla: The Forgotten Saga about?
Balder, the Norse god of light and purity, is lost in Niflheim. Odin, maddened by sadness, refuses to accept that his son lies in the gloomy realm of the dead. In a challenge to fate, the Allfather ventures into the depths of Niflheim and discovers a hostile land. However, Niflheim is the realm of the dead and the living are not welcome.
This free-to-play mode is inspired by the dungeon crawler genre and presents players with a new challenge as enemies never rest and every decision has consequences.
As with other dungeon crawler experiences, Forgotten Saga pushes players to their limits with tough enemies and a hostile world. Players progress through the world in a single pass and attempt to conquer the depths of Niflheim; however, death is a natural part of the experience and will be a frequent occurrence in your adventures. With each death, you will return to the start with new opportunities to improve Odin and increase your strength for your next attempt, but now with the information necessary to overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
