Detailed Explanations of Each Trophy
Defiant Till the End (Platinum)
This is the platinum trophy for Part I: it unlocks only when you have obtained all the other trophies. You must plan to ensure you get each one, including the secrets, as missing one will prevent it from appearing.
We Own This (Gold)
Finishing Part I on Insane difficulty is one of the greatest challenges. Make sure to have upgraded weapons, sufficient ammunition reserves, and a good understanding of xenomorph patterns. Frequent saves if the game allows, or retries of complicated sections.
No Mercy (Bronze)
Get 30 kills with the Pulse Rifle. Use the Rifle frequently, choose routes where there are many enemies that can be faced with that weapon, and conserve ammunition for these types of encounters.
No Weakness (Bronze)
Just like the previous one, but with the Riot Shotgun. Get close to combat where that shotgun is effective, and take advantage of short waves where you can use it without taking much damage.
No Hesitation (Bronze)
Eliminate 30 xenomorphs with the Revolver. This weapon may have less ammunition or damage, so make sure to use it when the Rifle or Shotgun are not available or in quick encounters.
Amanda’s Adherent (Silver)
This trophy has shown inconsistencies: correctly connect almost all the junction boxes in the game. There is a fixed number of them; one may be bugged or inaccessible at certain times. If you miss one, reload a previous save. Then check each external/internal area to ensure.
Payload Exposed (Silver)
Find a controlled explosion using the Pulse Rifle. This usually involves shooting at a nearby explosive target, such as a barrel or gas conduit, while using the Rifle. Keep an eye out for explosive materials and prepare the moment.
Just For a Percentage (Silver)
Find all pieces of Intel (e.g. 21). Explore all secondary areas, check optional rooms, review maps or alerts, to ensure you do not overlook any. If you have a location guide, it helps.
Model Employee (Silver)
Read all possible emails or messages (100). This means you need to check terminals, emails, messages left on desks, etc. Do not ignore optional messages; if any email you cannot read at a certain moment, return later.
Eat This! (Bronze)
Eliminate a xenomorph just as it is trying to execute you. This requires letting the enemy initiate the execution animation, but you must eliminate it before it kills you. Prepare with a quick weapon or an early reload.
Open The Door! (Gold)
Trap xenomorphs in a Panic Room and eliminate them 5 times. This involves luring enemies to that safe space and closing the door so they remain inside the Panic Room. Requires strategy, knowledge of the environment, and preventing them from jumping or passing through barriers.
Adios, Muchachos (Silver)
Kill 2 xenomorphs simultaneously by detonating an explosive barrel or pipe. Identify explosives in the environment, get close enough to affect both enemies, shoot with a weapon that triggers the explosion and back away if necessary.
One Small Step… (Secret)
Simply reach the planet Purdan. This happens in the natural progression of the story; make sure to explore what is necessary to activate that transition without skipping scenes.
That Makes You an Employee (Secret)
Register your biometrics with the PDT Keycard. You need to progress until you obtain the card and then use it at the corresponding terminal.
Game Over, Man (Secret)
Lose a fight in the Mess Hall. It is part of the story: you can let it defeat you in that location for it to count; then load if you do not want negative consequences or repeat the section.
For Close Encounters (Secret)
Recover the Riot Shotgun. At some point in the narrative, the shotgun is lost; search well in the scene where the weapon is unlocked to collect it.
Android On Board (Secret)
Transfer Davis to the Data Pad. This usually occurs as part of secondary objectives; check puzzles or interactions with Davis and the device.
Personal Friend of Yours (Secret)
Recover your Pulse Rifle. Similar to the Riot Shotgun; follow the main narrative for when the weapon is secured or unlocked and do not let it pass.
Bodies Across the Void (Secret)
Find a way to cross the skybridge. Explore until you find elevated points, walkways, or connecting corridors that activate the skybridge area.
Crew Not Expendable (Secret)
Attempt to destroy the MD-8. This objective may require specific action; prepare enough weapons and perhaps go back to complete this attempt.
Good with the Bad (Silver / Secret)
Clear the medical infestation. Advance to the medical wing, use effective weapons against multiple enemies, manage ammunition and health, and thoroughly check each infested room.
Express Elevator to Hell (Gold / Secret)
Finish Part I (the main story). After the end, make sure it is counted correctly, as some players indicate that it required fulfilling certain conditions for the trophy to appear.
Perfect Organism (Silver / Secret)
Kill 6 facehuggers while you are wrapped in the nest. You must let them grab you or enter the nest area, wait to be cocooned, and from there eliminate facehuggers during that state.
Duty Remains (Gold / Secret)
When Davis is downed (incapacitated) in the Mess Hall, you must kill 10 xenomorphs. This is risky, as you will be vulnerable. Use space, cover, and weapons that allow attacking from a distance if possible.
Unworthy of Creation (Secret)
Shoot Davis. It is a morally questionable trophy within the game: you will need a narrative opportunity to do so, make sure there are no irreversible consequences if you do.
Sleep When You Die (Gold / Secret)
Kill an enemy using your last bullet. It is very tactical: save ammunition, lower your health, wait until you have only one bullet, aim well, and shoot. Avoid reloading prematurely.
Every Formation a Parade (Gold / Secret)
Kill 3 separate enemies using Pulse Rifle, Riot Shotgun, and Revolver within 5 seconds. You need weapon coordination, a space with at least 3 enemies, inventory preparation, and quick weapon switching.
Perfectly Executed (Silver / Secret)
Damage an enemy with one weapon and kill it with another in Part I. It does not matter which weapons, but they must be different and in the same confrontation. A good moment for retries.
Becoming Hysterical (Silver / Secret)
Attack a xenomorph with the Hand Torch. Use the torch when it is safe; it may require risky approaching, so make sure to have defense.
’97 All-Star (Silver / Secret)
Make a basket with Davis’s head. It is one of the most peculiar trophies: it requires finding the stage or mechanic that allows “throwing” Davis’s head as an object, aiming at a basket, and scoring. It can be very situational.
Prometheus Strain (Secret)
Use an X-Stim to inject yourself and heal from the head. Make sure to have X-Stim, know where to apply it, and activate the option correctly.
An Interesting Affectation (Secret)
Kill a xenomorph while wearing a hat. Identify a cosmetic hat/outfit you can equip and keep it on until you find an enemy; then kill the enemy with any weapon.
Comparative Table — Trophy Types and Difficulty
To help you prioritize, this table summarizes how many trophies there are by level of difficulty / rarity / effort.
Category | Amount | Recommendation |
---|---|---|
Easy Natural Bronze | 4-6 | These are obtained in the normal progression of the game; do not worry too much about them at the beginning. |
Silver / Silver-Secret (Intermediate) | 8-10 | Look for collectibles, explore each area, check Intel emails and junction boxes. |
Gold / Gold-Secret (Specific Challenges) | 5-7 | These require specialized combat, weapon usage, Insane difficulty mode, or special situations. |
“Peculiar” Secrets / Situational Events | 6-8 | Save before choices, unique events; some trophies may go unnoticed. |
The Platinum | 1 | Appears upon completing all of the above. |
Suggested Route for the Platinum Trophy
- Play on normal difficulty first: advance in the story, familiarize yourself with controls, weapon locations, enemies, save areas, etc. Take advantage of this pass to collect Intel, read messages, and find the junction boxes.
- Explore every nook: do not rush too much; check side hallways, offices, message rooms. Intel, messages, and junction boxes are often in optional areas or that are overlooked if you are not alert.
- Save before key events/decisions: in particular: when you lose in the Mess Hall, before destroying the MD-8, before using special weapons, or before unique events like cooking facehuggers or throwing Davis’s head.
- Unlock main weapons as soon as possible: Pulse Rifle, Riot Shotgun, Revolver. Some trophies depend on these weapons; if you obtain them early, you can accumulate necessary kills while progressing.
- Specific Challenges: Once the story is completed on normal difficulty, do a second pass to complete the trophies for Insane difficulty and the more demanding ones (We Own This, Open The Door!, Duty Remains, etc.).
- Final Secret Moments: many secret trophies depend on story events or special situations; make sure to have saves before those moments to activate the trophy without ruining your progress.
- Finish with the platinum: after all other trophies have been obtained, the platinum trophy will appear automatically.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there missable trophies?
Yes. Some secret trophies depend on story situations, weapons obtained at specific moments, or player decisions. Also, some messages or emails may not be accessible if you advance too far without reviewing them, so saving beforehand helps a lot.
Do I need to play on Insane difficulty?
To obtain We Own This, it is mandatory to finish Part I on Insane difficulty. There are also other easier trophies if you play on a lower mode, but Insane is a requirement for that gold trophy.
How many playthroughs do I need?
You will probably need at least two: a first playthrough to progress, learn weapons, locations, and collectibles; a second playthrough for Insane and trophies that require specific challenges or particular situations that you may have missed the first time.
Where do I find the Intel/messages/junction boxes?
They are usually in optional areas, secondary rooms, offices, dimly lit hallways. Do not ignore secondary maps or alternative routes. If the game has a complete map after the level, it reveals blocked rooms that you did not see before.
